The immediate goal in the education and training of preschool child in our present culture is the attainment of a mental age of six years. He should have adequate language memory of sentences and ideas, visual memory and discrimination, as well as auditory motor ability, visual maturity, motivation, and social adjustment to a point where he can compete with day-to-day class situations.
