Neuropsychological Soft Signs in Children and Rehabilitation According to the Montessori Method

This article describes a Montessori program at the Aurora Hospital in Helsinki, Finland, a psychiatric facility for children ages 5-12. In addition to emotional challenges, many of the children also have learning disabilities. The author describes evaluation procedures and implementation of a Montessori program and delineates why it is such a good fit for children with neuropsychological as well as psychiatric challenges.
