Fall 2025 - Understanding Interventions and Therapies in A Montessori Setting: Level I Course: Asynchronous

In order to make this popular course accessible to our colleagues in distant time zones, we are offering this special Asynchronous course section. Having piloted this course as an asynchronous offering and found it to be quite successful, we plan to continue providing it in this fornat. It will allow participants to access all of the asynchronous materials, including readings, pre-recorded presentations, videos, articles, and interactive online message board activities, as well as recordings of the Saturday Zoom classes.

In addition, there will be two opportunuties each month for an online Zoom meeting with your Asynchronous cohort. Meetings are 90 minutes and offer you an opportunity to discuss, ask questions and engage in activities designed to support your integration of what you are learning into your practice.

Lucette van Someren Boyd

Lucette is an RN, a certified Montessori teacher, a Monterssori school owner and a member of the first cohort to graduate from the Montessori Therapy training course. As the only trained Montessori Therapist in Australia, Lucette brings a wealth of knowledge, expertise and skills to share with you.

Philippa Alford

Philippa trained in London with AMI 3-6 training. She has been working in Montessori Schools (primarily in 3-6 and for some years in 6-12 classrooms) in Sydney for over 44 years. She has many years of experience as a Learning Support specialist and is currently working in that role at Barrenjoey Montessori School. Philippa has attended MMPI courses and has been working closely with them to bring more inclusion training to Australia, as inclusion work is so vital to functioning Montessori Schools.

Janette

Janette Reimerink

Janette is an Educator with extensive experience who holds Montessori teaching diplomas 3-6 & 6-12.  She has taught in private dance studios and the BA (Dance) program at the U of Adelaide. For the past 15 years she has been at the North-Eastern Montessori School in Melbourne where she is Head of Inclusion,  Assessment & Reporting Coordinator. Janette brings a wealth of experience, knowledge, empathy, and a commitment to inclusive learning.
